Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan was released from jail, Friday night after beeing handcuffed in a Beverly Hills courtroom early in the morning for a third time in three years when a judge found evidence of substance abuse.
Lohan, 24, had been ordered jailed until an Oct. 22 hearing, the ruling was later reversed by a supervisor. She was released from the Century Regional Detention Facility in the south-central Los Angeles suburb of Lynwood just before midnight.
Earlier in the day Judge Fox did not hear any arguments from the lawyers before making his ruling.
His decision stunned Lindsay’s team because the underlying offence is a misdemeanor. Lindsay’s reaction was one of shock when she was remanded in custody.
Judge Fox had previously warned Lohan he would put her back behind bars if she tested positive or skipped one of her twice-weekly tests.
